Hey you guys hope you had a wonderful weekend. Mine was great. I visited my friend Julie and her family this weekend and then when I made it back to the island we all spent time with other family friends on the beach. Today I wanted to share with you my go to green smoothie. It is simple, nutritious and delicious. My husband, B and I enjoy this on most days. T says he likes it, but he tends to want oats with berries instead of the smoothie. I am ok with this because it is still a good healthy decision for breakfast. This smoothies is filled with fiber, antioxidents, vitamin C, vitamin K,vitamin B6, manganese, potassium, calcium, iron, magnesium, and protein. It is low in saturated fat, cholesterol and has high anti-inflammitory properties. Sounds like a winner to me.
- 2 cups water, 2 cups spinach, 1 cups blueberries and 6 bananas
- Add water and spinach to blender and blend until smooth. Add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth. Pour into your favorite smoothie cup and enjoy.
- Adjust the amounts for children.
